Summer is here and many Raw Carrot staff look for ways to engage in their local community and give back! Allison (far right) volunteers 2x/week at Thrift on Kent (the MCCO thrift store…and, if you haven’t been to this treasure, you really should!). John-Paul is volunteering at a garden growing sprouts for Maurita’s Kitchen (an amazing community Hub that provides a “gathering place around food projects”, including skills training) https://www.theworkingcentre.org/mauritas-kitchen/169 . Suzi (far left) is on a few advisory boards offering her view’s on the lived experience of homelessness and Colleen B (from Paris) will be using her skills to help out elderly members of her local community in a variety of ways – haircuts & personal care particularly.
We are GRATEFUL for our talented staff and excited to see them join new opportunities in the slower soup season. How are YOU giving back this summer???
