Volunteer Highlight: Shirley Parker

I choose to volunteer at The Raw Carrot for the same reason that I have volunteered at other agencies over the years. I look for organizations that are encouraging a leg up rather than a handout.  It’s great to see the pride and confidence that these staff members have developed over time. I also like the way a community spirit is growing as more schools, sports organizations and local groups look to the Raw Carrot for fundraisers, luncheons etc. It speaks well of the product being offered. Of course, none of this could happen without the dedication of Lynne and Janice.
