We a pleased to announce another short film official selection for the 2024 Impact Film Festival coming up the evening of November 21st: The Raw Carrot – Creating Disability Friendly Work. This film shares the story of this organization and the journey to having the impactful presence it currently has, with hopes of further growth.
We get to hear directly from Rebecca Sherbino in the film (Co-founder and Executive Director) about how it all came to be, along with some perspective from employees and municipal government.
The Raw Carrot is a social enterprise that is empowering people on social assistance who face barriers to traditional employment to secure their own livelihoods through the dignity of work. They currently have five locations in Southwestern Ontario, with one site launching in Winnipeg, Manitoba, and plans for more on the way!
Join us November 21st, at the Impact Film Festival brought to you by Enviro-Stewards Inc. in support of Safe Water Social Ventures to see a variety of films submitted and chosen from different areas in the world that showcase meaningful initiatives helping to change the world for the better. At the event, we will also be sharing updates from the Safe Water Social Ventures (SWSV), with all net proceeds from the event going towards the SWSV work, helping vulnerable families sustainably acquire access to clean and safe water.
